Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic collection of specimens from this classic Maryland locality!!! This is a group of seven individual specimens - including two single crystals of grossular garnet, a cluster of clinozoisite crystals, a clinozoisite & orange grossular combo, two complex combinations of grossular with clinozoisite and diopside, and a single crystal of vesuvianite!!! This largest grossular crystal measures nearly 1.5cm!!! The color of the grossular garnets on the clinozoisite-diopside combos ranges from pale greenish white to light green (the green is much more substantial in person!) - there is also a tiny pyrite crystal in association on one of the combos as well!!! These specimens came from an old collection of Hunting Hill specimens from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
