A unique, old time example of acanthite with chlorargyrite and polybasite from this historic Mexican locality!!! This specimen consists of a
complex, almost dendritic cluster of acanthite crystals that hosts a thin coating of brownish-tan chlorargyrite in addition to numerous clusters of
tiny polybasite crystals!!! Upon close inspection, one can see numerous small clusters of intergrown plates of polybasite crystals (in the
pictures, these clusters of intergrown polybasite crystals look
like somewhat granular, amorphous mounds scattered across the acanthite crystals - however they are readily identifiable in person!)!!!
Upon close inspection, one can discern all manner of complex and unusual forms present among the acanthite crystals!!! This specimen
is quite showy in person and is in fantastic condition all around!!! Rare and unusual old time material!!!
