Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of native silver replacing acanthite from Morocco!!! This specimen consists of a group of complex
acanthite crystals that has been partially replaced by dense tangles of native silver wires!!! The acanthite crystals show
complex, subhedral forms with a velveteen metallic luster and dark gray color!!! The native silver is present as thick, sturdy wires with
"antique" to tin white color!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope, it appears that there is some massive chlorargyrite in
minor association where the native silver wires and acanthite meet!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 15th!!!
