Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of acanthite from the Czech Republic!!! This specimen hosts a prominent, highly complex
crystal of acanthite in association with numerous smaller acanthite crystals scattered throughout the matrix!!! Upon close
inspection with a loupe or scope, there are some tiny, bladed crystals of pearceite hidden in the vugs as well!!! The acanthite
crystals have a battleship gray color with metallic luster and highly complex forms!!! There are a few scattered calcite crystals present as well!!!
This is old material that likely dates to the 19th century!!!
This specimen retains an old label from the "Museum Regni Bohemiae" which is the
Czech Republic National Museum!!! Rare, old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 1st!!!
