Acanthite with Erythrite Keeley-Frontier Mine, Cobalt-Gowganda region, Timiskaming District, Ontario, Canada 1.83cm x 1.55cm x 1.15cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of acanthite from Canada!!! This specimen hosts a large, complex crystal of acanthite on matrix in association with a small amount of magenta pink erythrite!!! The acanthite crystal measures 7mm and is quite striking for the locality!!! The crystal has bright, metallic luster and a sharp, complex habit that consists of interpenetrant cubo-octahedral crystals!!! The crystal has some minor damage (or a contact) on its reverse, however it is not easily seen and the crystal is otherwise complete!!! The specimen displays handsomely!!!
