Acanthite pseudomorph after Pyrargyrite 450' level, San Juan de Rayas Mine (Rayas Mine; Reyes Mine), Guanajuato, Mexico 5.3cm x 3.35cm x 3cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of acanthite after pyrargyrite from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a dense cluster of prismatic pyrargyrite crystals that have been completely replaced by acanthite crystals!!! There are also some whitish blades of barite in association as well!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see the networks of tiny acanthite crystals that have replaced the pyrargyrite crystals!!! The pseudomorphs are well formed with many having hoppered terminations or other complex features!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays fantastically all around!!!
