Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of epidote and actinolite from Maryland!!! This specimen consists of a dense cluster of olive green epidote crystals in association with dark green, hair-like crystals of actinolite!!! The epidote crystals are highly complex with glassy luster and gemmy clarity!!! The epidote crystals range in size to over 1.5cm!!! This specimen retains a collection label from Fred Parker (who has perhaps the finest collection of Maryland minerals in private hands)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
