Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incredible example of this rare silver bearing species with native gold var. electrum from
Nevada!!! This specimen hosts rich veins of dark silvery aguilarite in association with native gold var. electrum (electrum is
a variety of native gold that contains a small amount of native silver)!!! This specimen has been cut and polished
on both sides to exhibit its impressive richness!!! Although it was difficult to capture in the pics - the veins of
aquilarite are loaded with brilliant, silvery metallic grains!!! Upon close inspection, one can see the
grains of electrum that have a distinctly golden hue (again, a much more apparent feature in person)!!! This is a VERY
significant example of this very rare silver species!!! Examples of aguilarite are seldom encountered on the market and when they are, they
are micros or tiny specimens with scant or single grains of aguilarite - this is an extraordinary example of the species and would be
worth a small fortune if trimmed into smaller specimens!!! This specimen has been analyzed and confirmed and retains a copy of the analysis!!!
Don't miss out on this incredible specimen!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 5th!!!
