Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of alabandite with rhodochrosite from the recent find Peru!!! Examples of crystalline alabandite are extremely rare and these specimens from Peru represent the absolute pinnacle of the species!!! This specimen hosts a pair of sharp, complex, twinned crystals of alabandite in association with pink rhodochrosite!!! It is my understanding that the small zone that contained this material has already been exhausted and it appears that what little material was already on the market has all but disappeared!!! No doubt this material is a future classic!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
