Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic combination of very rare species from Tsumeb!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is way better than
the pics show - it was difficult to capture in the pics but is quite handsome in person!!! This specimen consists of a
cluster of brilliantly lustrous blades of translucent to gemmy alamosite that are studded by spheroidal crystals of
darkly colored melanotekite with some very rare, tan colored kegelite in association!!! The alamosite
crystals range in size to well over 1cm and are quite well formed and sharply defined!!! There are some significant
areas of tan colored kegelite present at the base of the alamosite crystals on one side of the specimen!!! The
kegelite exhibits characteristic bright, pearly luster and is densely compressed against the specimen!!! Upon
close inspection with a loupe or scope this specimen is simply incredible and there are some very interesting things going on as well!!!
This specimen retains an old label from noted Tsumeb collector Bill Pinch and a very detailed old label from Arthur Eadi as well!!!
Don't miss out on this rare and valuable rarity!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
