This specimen hosts a complete and pristine sixling crystal of alexandrite prominently perched on a schist matrix!!! The crystal is sharp, lustrous, and measures over 3.1cm!!! With a bit of backlighting, one can see that this crystal actually has some appreciable clarity (its darkness is only being caused by the matrix)!!! Using incandescent lighting, the crystal shows purple coloration and with sunlight or full-spectrum fluorescent the crystal shows green coloration!!! The color change is dramatic and pronounced!!! The crystal could easily be further excavated from the schist matrix (which would dramatically increase its clarity) if one so desired!!!
