Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of this famed gem species from Tanzania!!! This specimen consists of a sharp single crystal
of alexandrite that exhibits stunning color change!!! Please note that although this specimen shows up as an intense purple color in the
pictures - however this specimen is a VERY different color in person!!! For some reason, digital cameras have great difficulty
capturing the color of alexandrite crystals!!! In person this specimen shows an exceptional INTENSE BLUE GREEN color in sunlight
and full spectrum fluorescent lighting and exhibits purple color under incandescent lighting!!! Although the crystal shows up as an
intense violet purple in the pictures, it does not look like that in person -
it is actually the BLUE GREEN color that is VERY intense in person!!! Unfortunately there was no way to capture the intense
blue green color in the pictures (there is one bluish picture that was taken with full spectrum fluorescent but it is actually blue-green in person)!!! The
crystal has sharp, glassy faces and translucent to gemmy clarity!!! The crystal is very thick and significant, weighing a hefty
11cts.!!! This is a superb example of the species with INCREDIBLE color change!!! The blue-green daylight color is extraordinary in person and
the color change to purple is significant and very dramatic!!! To be clear, this is a top-end specimen that shows an extraordinary blue-green to purple
color change in person (just not VIOLET purple)!!! Absolutely amazing in person!!! Don't miss out on this rare
