Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of almandine garnet from this classic locale!!! This specimen hosts a striking, cranberry red crystal of
almandine garnet prominently perched on silvery schist matrix!!! The crystal exhibits sharp dodecahedral form with
complex trapezohedral modifications!!! The crystal has sharp, glassy faces and measures over 1.8cm!!! The
crystal exhibits gemmy clarity and shows gorgeous flashes of deep cranberry red within!!! The crystal is in
magnificent condition and is way, WAY better than the pics show!!! What might appear to be damage in the pics, are
actually complex surface features - the crystal is simply gorgeous in person!!! Aside from one
small area on the bottom edge of the crystal that does not detract, the crystal is nearly pristine!!!
Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired
the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the
upcoming days and weeks!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
