Description/Interesting Notes: A gorgeous example of almandine garnet from this famous classic locality!!! This specimen hosts a pair of large, undamaged almandine garnet crystals aesthetically perched on schist matrix!!! The garnet crystals have marked gemminess and incredible color for the locality!!! Normally these crystals are so dark they almost appear black - however these crystals exhibit bright cherry red flash even in low lighting!!! The crystals are sharp, lustrous, and complete!!! There is also a third smaller gemmy crystal perched on top as well!!! This is a fantastic example for the locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
