Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of almandine garnet from this historic Pennsylvania locale!!! This specimen hosts numerous dark reddish, orange crystals of almandine garnet in micaceous matrix!!! The crystals exhibit somewhat complex habits and range in size to 1cm!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show and displays quite handsomely in person!!! Examples from this historic locale are quite scarce and highly sought after!!! This specimen has an old museum label that notes the specimen was given from the collection of an A.E. Meier!!! This specimen also has a corresponding affixed catalogue number as well!!!
