Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of almandine garnet from Austria!!! This specimen hosts several almandine garnet crystals on schist matrix!!! The crystals have deep red color and marked translucence!!! The crystals have numerous complex modifications and are all undamaged!!! Unlike many of these old time specimens, this specimen is in pristine condition and has not been polished or 'touched up' in any way!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
