Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of almandine garnet from this historic Pennsylvania locality!!! This specimen consists of a large, complex almandine garnet on matrix!!! The crystal has a highly complex, compressed habit!!! The crystal is somewhat hamburger-shaped and has numerous highly complex, lustrous faces and patches of translucent reddish color!!!
