Description/Interesting Notes: An old time classic example of almandinte from Austria!!! This old time beauty hosts a large, sharp almandine crystal on schist matrix!!! The crystal is sharp, undamaged, and has classic deep red color!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and unlike many of these classic Austrian almandines, this specimen has not been polished in any way!!! All too often these classic almandines had been polished by dealers who thought such a practice would increase their appeal - yikes!!! Simply a gorgeous example of Austrian almandine!!!
