Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of altaite with tellurantimony from Canada!!! This specimen hosts a very rich showing of bright, tin white metallic altaite in association with tan-silver tellurantimony, golden chalcopyrite, and minor mattagamite!!! This specimen is very rich indeed - with just a very small amount of matrix present as a thin layer on one side!!! This specimen has lots of large, mirror brilliant cleavage faces that are quite showy and lively in person!!! Upon close inspection one can see some scattered grains of darker colored mattagamite present as well!!! This specimen retains an old museum label that notes it was received as a gift from noted collector Joe Cilen!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
