A large, complex crystal of solid azurite - weighing over 140 grams (5oz.)!!! This specimen was rather difficult to photograph, but the blue
color, glassy luster, and wild complexity is quite dazzling in person!!! A very handsome and impressive specimen indeed - the pics don't
even come close!!!
Wolfgang Pohl worked in the mining industry in Namibia in the 70s and 80s and was a prolific collector and dealer during and after
this time!!! He would make trips back and forth to his native Germany trading specimens he had acquired in Africa for worldwide specimens!!!
Pohl was rather meticulous with his labeling and record keeping with most of the specimens in the collection having catalogue numbers, label
with info on locale, source/dealer info, acquisition date, and any other relevant notes!!! However, the most interesting feature is that most
of the labels also had a small sketch of the specimen on the reverse side as well!!! I will be listing many exciting specimens from this
collection, in addition to the usual and far ranging array of specimens, in the upcoming weeks - so don't miss out!!!Good luck and be sure
