Description/Interesting Notes: A huge example of this rare gem species from Brazil!!! This specimen consists of a huge, 2025 carat crystal of amblygonite!!! The crystal exhibits complex twinning and has highly complex etched surfaces!!! In person, the overall crystal form is quite distinct and the broad faces are lustrous!!! The crystal is in terrific condition and relatively complete all around!!! The faces are etched, not damaged as one might infer from the pics!!! The crystal has golden color and marked clarity, with areas of significant gemminess!!! This specimen retains an old handwritten label from Fred Pough as well!!! This is OLD Brazillian material!!!
