Description/Interesting Notes: A gorgeous, old time example of amethyst with calcite from Guanajuato!!! This specimen consists of a large plate of lively, light purple amethyst crystals in association with balls of lustrous, translucent calcite crystals!!! The amethyst crystals have razor-sharp faces with glassy luster and unique, lively light purple color!!! The specimen is in magnificent condition and displays gorgeously in person (save for two small dings the specimen is nearly pristine)!!! Upon close inspection one can see some slight purple phantoms in some of the crystals, as well as some pyrite microcrystals scattered about the calcite crystals!!! One can also see very dark purple areas of amethyst on the bottom of the specimen as well!!! Simply a magnificent, old time example of amethyst from Mexico!!! Very showy in person!!!
