Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of amethyst from Rhode Island!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex single crystal of amethyst!!! The crystal has
bright, glassy luster, gemmy clarity, and lively purple color at the core!!! The bottom of the crystal almost appears to be the beginning of a scepter that has healed in some
complex fashion!!!
This specimen retains an old label from the collection of Andrew G. Toussaint (1906-1974) that
gives the locality as simply "Rhode Island"!!! Rare, old Rhode Island amethyst!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
