Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific old time example of smoky-amethyst quartz from North Carolina!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of sharp, lustrous
crystals of quartz that show rich zones of smoky quartz and phantoms of amethyst!!! The crystals seem to be highly complex, doubly terminated crystals (or scepters) perched
on a slightly divergent group of much smaller colorless quartz crystals!!! The crystals have
razor sharp terminations and lustrous faces!!! There are some curiously complex compound crystals and terminations
present as well!!! There are also a few crystals that
show curious, diagonal striations or etchings across their faces!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition
and displays magnificently all around!!! This is OLD North Carolina material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
