Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic example of amethyst and calcite from this classic Mexican locale!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, gemmy crystal of
amethyst that is selectively covered with glittery white calcite crystals!!! The amethyst crystal is sharp, complete, and gemmy with
handsome purple color that shows a subtle, phantom-like zoning!!! Upon close inspection, the calcite crystals almost appear to be
calcite-after-calcite replacements with numerous tiny calcite crystals having replaced an earlier
growth of larger, disc like calcite crystals!!! The calcite crystals are lustrous, sparkly, and undamaged!!!
Classic material!!!
