Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of amethyst from Rhode Island!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex, doubly terminated crystal of amethyst!!! The amethyst is sharply zoned with complex accents of smoky quartz as well!!! The crystal is actually quite well formed, sharp, and lustrous - although it was difficult to capture in the pics!!! The crystal has sharp, glassy faces with highly complex features and modifications throughout!!! This specimen is in terrific condition and displays well all around!!! This uncommon locality specimen retains an old label from the Thurston's that indicates it was collected in 1968!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
