Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of anatase from Switzerland!!! This specimen hosts numerous crystals of anatase prominently perched on matrix!!! The anatase crystals are razor-sharp, highly lustrous, undamaged and pristine!!! Anatase crystals from this locality are usually quite small, however this choice specimen hosts crystals that range in size to 5mm!!! The crystals are dark in color but upon close inspection the crystals exhibit some slight blue color with backlighting!!! This specimen is quite showy in person - the pics hardly do it justice!!! This old time specimen has fantastic provenance as well!!! This specimen retains old labels from the Cilen collection, Carlton Davis collection, and American Museum of Natural History (this label notes a "Dr. B'S collection" on the reverse, although this is something of a mystery)!!!
