Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of anatase from Switzerland!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of gemmy quartz crystals that host a group of sharp, lustrous crystals of deep blue anatase!!! While most anatase crystals are quite dark in color and only show some blue color with intense backlighting, these crystals show surprising blue color even in modest lighting!!! It was difficult to capture in the pics, but the clarity and color of these crystals is simply amazing!!! The smaller crystals exhibit lively blue color and marked clarity and the larger crystals show striking flashes of intense sapphire blue within!!! The pairing of bright, gemmy quartz crystals makes for a handsome combo indeed!!! This old time Swiss anatase retains an old label from Wards (c. 1890's) and old labels from the Michigan College of Mines (A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
