A fantastic, old time example of andradite garnet from Arizona!!! These specimens have a curious iridescence somewhat similar to the
"rainbow" garnets from Japan, but whereas those exhibit a multicolor iridescence, these Arizona specimens have a slightly metallic, monochromatic iridescence!!!
This specimen hosts numerous translucent to gemmy olive colored crystals on both sides and is in fantastic condition!!! Simply magnificent in person!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!!
This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label!!! We just recently acquired the lifelong collection
of Albert Peppis, and detailed information about both him and the collection are on our
"About Me" page - so be sure to check it out!!!
