Andradite Garnet Riverside, Riverside Co., California 4.9cm x 3.83cm x 3.4cm Ex. Percy A. Foster Collection (1889-1968)

Description/Interesting Notes: A unique and showy example of andradite garnet from California!!! This specimen hosts a striking group of particularly sharp, brilliant, gemmy crystals prominently perched on a matrix of somewhat massive andradite (there are several large, partial crystals present around the matrix as well)!!! These gemmy crystals have complex, modified edges that gives them a very showy apperance in person!!! Simply gorgeous, old time material!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Percy A. Foster Collection (1889-1968) as well!!! There is a small area of massive, olive colored vesuvianite in association as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
