Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent example of anglesite from Broken Hill!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of sharp, undamaged crystals of anglesite in association with a small amount of matrix!!! The crystals have sharp, complex faces with glassy luster and clarity that ranges from translucent to gemmy!!! The specimen is primarily comprised of crystalline anglesite, with much of the matrix being included within crystalline anglesite!!! The crystals range in size to over 1.6cm!!! This specimen retains numerous old labels from previous collections as well (certainly a testament to its significance and quality)!!! Upon close inspection one can find tiny, submillimeter crystals of spessartine garnet scattered about the reverse!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pictures show!!! This is a magnificent example of the species from this famed locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
