Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare, old time example of anglesite from Missouri!!! This specimen consists of a massive portion of sphalerite with some massive galena that hosts an
incredible showing of anglesite crystals!!! The crystals have razor-sharp terminations, glassy luster, gemmy clarity, and range in size up to 1cm!!! Most of the crystals have a
characteristic champagne color that is quite handsome in person!!! There are many more highly lustrous crystals than the pictures show and the specimen is quite dynamic in person - however the
pictures hardly capture just how lively it is because the gemmy crystals only show up in the pictures if they are reflecting light!!! In addition to the
anglesite crystals there are numerous patches of yellow colored minium that coats portions of the massive galena!!! This is very old material indeed!!! A superb
example of the species for Missouri!!! This specimen retains a label from the Weingarten collection as well!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
