Anglesite with Mimetite Tsumeb, Namibia 4.8cm x 4.3cm x 2cm Ex. Arthur Montgomery (1909-1999) Ex. Sunshine Acres School Ex. Neil A. Wintringham Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of anglesite with mimetite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of translucent anglesite crystals that hosts a rich showing of highly unusual mimetite crystals scattered about their faces!!! The anglesite crystals have exhibit highly complex forms with marked luster and translucent clarity!!! The mimetite crystals appeared very unusual at first and needed further analysis to be properly identified!!! The mimetite crystals appeared as both darkly colored crystals and yellowish crystals and both have individual analysis posted below - there is also an SEM image of one of the crystals as well!!! This is older Tsumeb material and dates to at least before 1941!!! This specimen retains old labels from the Neil Wintringham collection and the Sunshine Acres School (a very "unique" fully accredited private school - circa 1939, it was part of the nation's first Nudist colony) with Art Montgomery notation!!! Very unique material indeed and certainly worthy of further inspection!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
