Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique example of native copper with rare anthonyite from Michigan!!! This specimen
consists of a complex group of native copper "wires" in association with
pale green prehnite crystals and rare pale blue anthonyite!!! While native silver
is often seen as "wires", native copper is rarely seen in such a form!!! The native copper
is present as complex, curvaceous wires and wire-crystal hybrids!!! Upon
close inspection one can see numerous small areas of pale blue anthonyite scattered
about the specimen as well!!! The anthonyite is present as crusts and somewhat amorphous
masses!!! Rare material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer and retains its original personal collection label!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer
and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!!
