Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of chromian antigorite from Pennsylvania!!! These specimens are often mislabelled as kammererite,
however they are actually chromian antigorite!!! This specimen consists of a handsome mass of purple colored chromian antigorite in association
with a small amount of jet-black chromite!!!
The specimen exhibits a handsome network of parallel associated crystals that exhibit marked translucence!!! The crystals' fibrous
nature also produces a noticeable cat's eye-like schiller as well!!! While the specimen exhibits a violet purple color in the pics,
the specimen has a slightly darker, more magenta-purple color in person!!! Rare old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
