Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of purple apatite from Maine!!! This specimen consists of a group of juxtaposed crystals of purple apatite!!! The crystals have handsome purple color, marked clarity, sharp faces, and bright, glassy luster!!! Upon close inspection, one can find microcrystals of herderite scattered about the apatite crystals!!! This specimen retains an old Amy Merrill (b. 1886-1980) label as well!!!
