Description/Interesting Notes:
An old time example of orthoclase and calcite with apatite and zircon from New York!!! This specimen consists of a group of
complex orthoclase crystals in association with some intergrown calcite that hosts numerous crystals of apatite and zircon!!! The
apatite crystals are present as gemmy, blue to blue-green crystals scattered throughout the matrix!!! The zircon crystals have
interesting purple color and bright glassy luster!!! The orthoclase crystals actually seem to show a slight degree of moonstone-like
adularescence as well!!! Old material!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains its
original old labels from the Michigan College of Mines and antique glass-lined museum specimen box!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
