A classic example of apatite from Portugal!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of colorless apatite crystals in association with siderite!!!
The specimen is almost entirely comprised of apatite crystals!!! The apatite crystals are sharp, lustrous, and undamaged!!! On the reverse, one can see
that the specimen is one contiguous group of apatite crystals!!! Curiously, the siderite crystals on the front exhibit the typical tan color, however there are
crystals of the same shape and habit on the reverse that are nearly colorless!!! Simply a fantastic example of apatite from this classic locality!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!!
