Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of apophyllite from BRAZIL!!! DO NOT mistake this specimen for just another Indian zeolite - this specimen is NOT FROM INDIA!!! This is classic, old time material from BRAZIL!!! This specimen hosts large, showy crystals of apophyllite that measure to well over 4cm on edge in a vug lined with reddish orange colored heulandite crystals!!! The apophyllite crystals have sharp, glassy faces with complexly stepped, matte terminations!!! The apophyllite crystals have marked clarity with the largest crystals having pale green color and the smaller crystals being colorless and gemmy!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently in person!!! This specimen is way better than the pictures show!!! The basalt matrix is distinctive and characteristic of the locale!!! The specimen retains unattributed catalogue numbers on the underside as well!!!
