Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent, old time example of beryl var. aquamarine from Connecticut!!! This specimen hosts a sharp, complete crystal of aquamarine prominently perched on a matrix of smoky quartz and albite!!! This crystal has razor sharp faces and bright glassy luster!!! The crystal exhibits marked clarity and handsome light blue color!!! The great majority of aquamarine specimens from this locality are incomplete or badly damaged - however this specimen hosts a razor-sharp, complete crystal that is quite handsome indeed!!! This is old museum material and retains two old, unattributed labels and corresponding affixed catalogue numbers!!! Simply an outstanding old time gem from this classic New England locale!!!
