A terrific, old time classic aquamarine from Russia!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, single gem crystal of aquamarine aesthetically perched on second aquamarine crystal!!!
The sharp, 2cm crystal has brilliant glassy luster, rich blue color, gem clarity, and no damage whatsoever!!! The termination is flat with
some small, complex secondary faces!!! This is a stunning old time beauty!!! It is so perfect looking that I thought it could have been a fake, or creatively repaired in some way, however on the reverse one can clearly
see that the the crystal grown into and integrated fully with the other aquamarine crystal (we even double checked with the scope!)!!!
The gem mines in this area date to the early 1700's and specimens are rarely seen on the market today!!! The only time these specimens are encountered is when they are deaccessed from old
collections!!! This specimen is absolutely stunning in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
