Description/Interesting Notes: An extraordinary, old time example of aragonite from Italy!!! Let me start off by saying that this is an incredible specimen in person - you are looking at a LARGE cluster of huge aragonite crystals!!! The crystals measure up to over 5.5cm and have sharp faces with marked luster and clarity!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of large, intergrown crystals of aragonite in association with bright yellow native sulfur!!! The aragonite crystals are present as sharply formed hexagonal crystals that exhibit well defined twinning and one can also see sharply defined snowflake-like forms on the terminations!!! This is a killer specimen in person - a huge, old time classic beauty!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! Truly an impressive example of the species!!!
