Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of smithsonite with zincian aragonite from this historic Greek locale!!! This specimen consists of richly colored, turquoise blue smithsonite in association with colorless crystals of zincian aragonite!!! Upon close inspection one can see that the smithsonite is present as intergrown, rounded crystals that have marked translucence and choice, classic color!!! The zincian aragonite (also sometimes known as "nicholsonite") is present as complex, intergrown colorless crystals!!! This specimen retains two corresponding labels, a large label and a smaller label that was likely previously affixed to the specimen!!! This is old 19th century material!!! Classic material!!!
