Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of argentojarosite and carminite from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that host a rich showing of intense red crystals of carminite and yellowish-ochre crusts and microcrystals of argentojarosite!!! The carminite crytals are lustrous, gemmy, and show intense crimson red color!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see that the carminite crystals have some complex features but are very well formed and quite fine indeed!!! There is a rich showing of yellowish argentojarosite intergrown with the carminite - present as crusts and microcrystals!!! This specimen is simply incredible when viewed with a loupe or scope!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
