Arsenopyrite with Pyrite and Muscovite Panasqueira, Covilhã, Castelo Branco District, Portugal 4.3cm x 3.14cm x 2.5cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of arsenopyrite and pyrite from Portugal!!! This specimen hosts several doubly terminated arsenopyrite crystals on a matrix of pyrite and muscovite!!! The arsenopyrite crystals have an attractive patina and the pyrite crystals are brilliantly metallic!!! The pyrite crystals are all sharp, uniformly sized cubes and in at least one instance, they appear to mimic the form of the arsenopyrite and then slowly grade into arsenopyrite crystals!!! This specimen needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Displays fantastically!!!
