A rare, old time example of "asperolite" from the area from which it was first described!!! Asperolite is proposed to have a complex
structure somewhat similar to chrysocolla but containing more water!!! This specimen consists of a rich, colorful mass of asperolite and tenorite!!!
The majority of the specimen is comprised of asperolite chrysocolla ranging in color from greenish brown to turquoise blue, while the
tenorite is present as the jet-black mass in the center!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This old time curiousity retains its original antique
Schortmann's label!!!
