Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique, old time example of atacamite from Arizona!!! This unusual specimen consists of a very dense mass of intergrown
crystals of deep, emerald green atacamite in association with greenish chrysocolla!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that the
atacamite crystals are present as intergrown, radiating groups of elongated, prismatic crystals!!! In some instances the
atacamite crystals are surrounded by massive chrysocolla!!! There are also areas where isolated crystals are suspended
in the massive green chyrsocolla!!! In person the atacamite crystals are quite dynamic and this specimen
is simplyk fascinating upon close examination!!! Some of the atacamite crystals have significant length and even
small areas of gemminess!!! Examples of atacamite from this locality are very rare indeed!!! This locality was located
just a few thousand feet from the famed Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine at Tiger!!! Old material!!!
