Description/Interesting Notes:
An old, 19th century example of aurichalcite from Italy!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of light blue
aurichalcite in association with hemimorphite and rosasite!!! The aurichalcite is present as
slightly pearlescent, light blue botryoids and acicular sprays of crystals!!! There
are also areas of tiny, colorless hemimorphite crystals in association!!! The rosasite
is present as areas of velveteen, turquoise colored botryoidal crystals as well as isolated,
darker colored blue green botroids and crystals scattered about the specimen!!!
This specimen retains an OLD label that lists two antiquated terms for aurichalcite!!!
This specimen is from the Sorbonne Museum in France!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
