Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely goregous, old time example of aurichalcite and calcite from Utah!!! This specimen consists of layer of acicular aurichalcite crystals that has been overgrown by highly complex crystals of calcite!!! The aurichalcite has absolutely choice, intense turquoise blue color that is futher amplified by the coverage of translucent, glassy calcite crystals!!! The color is MUCH MORE INTENSE than the pictures show (the bright luster of the crystals kept making the digital camera show the specimen as washed out)!!! This specimen is stunningly aesthetic in person!!! We briefly had it on display here at home and it can literally grab your eye from across a room!!! This rare old timer is in fantastic condition and retains an old label from the Velte collection as well!!! This specimen is a killer in person!!!
