Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of autunite from Washington!!! This specimen consists of a thick, dense network of intergrown crystals of bright yellow-green autunite!!! This specimen is unusually heavy and sturdy compared to the majority of specimens seen from this locality!!! This specimen has a small amount of matrix in association that appears to add to its stability!!! The crystals consist of intergrown "books" of crystals!!! On edge the crystals show inner-zones of unusually dark coloration!!! This specimen is rather heavy for its size as well!!! This specimen is from the collection of Glenn Nicol and retains its original label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully apreciated!!!
